The Makdee girl came into limelight from the 2002 film by Vishal Bhardwaj. The audience had the chance to see her talent again in the film Iqbal. Her birthplace is Jamshedpur on 11 th Jan, 1991 from parents Anuj Prasad and Sarmistha Basu. She studied in R.N Podder High School. She did films in different languages like Telegu, Bengali, Kanada and Tamil. She had also acted in some of the television serials like Kahani Ghar Gahr Kii, Karishma Ka Karishma, Chandra Nandini and Gangsters. She also won national award for Madee as the child artist and many awards for Iqbal.
